Michael Bisping is a British Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) from Lancashire. Presently he fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is a former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion and Cage Rage light heavyweight champion. Michael Bisping was born at a British military base in Cyprus in 1979 and during his early childhood, he moved to Clitheroe in England. At an age of 8 Michael Bisping developed an interest in martial arts. Initially he started to practice his moves in a traditional form of Jujutsu known as Yawara Ryu under Paul Llyod Davis. Later on Alan Clarking, Owner of Black Knights gym trained Michael Bisping for kickboxing and karate.
Michael Bisping has enjoyed a short but successful career as a MMA. He fought as an amateur in England’s first “no holds barred” competition, which is a precursor to modem MMA, called Knock Down Sport Budo (KSBO) when he was just 15 years old. At an age of 18, he was trained for kickboxing and karate. Till now Michael Bisping had developed a strong foundation in the field of martial arts. On 4th April 2004, he made his MMA debut at Pride & Glory 2″ Battle of the Ages professionally and defeated Steve Mathews
After a month Michael won his first knockout after defeating John Weir at UK MMA Challenge 7: Rage & Fury. It was the third match of MMA, which made Michael Bisping a Cage Rage Light heavyweight Championship at Cage Rage 7. After that on 29thJanuary 2005, Michael Bisping made his debut in cage kickboxing where he fought against David Brown in a light heavyweight contest. In this match, Bisping smashed brown so badly that the match was in favor of Bisping in just second round due to medical stoppage. On 30th April 2005, Michael Bisping made his debut for the promotion to Ultimate Force and there he defeated Dave Redford and scored his Cage Warriors light heavyweight title. After that he continued to fight for light heavyweight cage kickboxing contest. In 2006, Michael Bisping was featured on the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter reality television series. There he was able to qualify for the finals and won it after that Bisping won various championship titles. He has lost only a single match at UFC 78 against Rashad Evans After this defeat, Michael decided to go down in middleweight group and on 19th April 200 he made his debut as a Middleweight fighter
Michael Bisping lives with his wife Rebecca and has two lovely children, Callum and Ellie. He likes to have coffee in the early morning and to spend quality time with his wife and children and has devoted himself to training. Bisping is surprisingly scared of tiny insects.
Michael Bisping is really a hard-core fighter specializing in kickboxing and Jujutsu. He has defeated a number of tough fighter such as Charles McCarthy, Eric Schafer, Josh Haynes. Elvis SInosic, and Matt Hamill. He believes in hard training and easy fighting.
