Mac Danzig is a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter and instructor. He was born on 2nd January 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in the greater Pittsburgh and to pursue his career, he went to Los Angeles. Mac Danzing as the lightweight champion for the King of the Cage and Gladiator Challenge MMAs. He has also won The Ultimate Fighter 6 challenge and presently works for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is a U.S.-based mixed martial arts organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mac Danzig has gained a total control over Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Boxing.
Mac Danzing is a student of Iowa wrestling champion Rico Chiapparelli and MMA fighter Frank Trigg. He was vigorously trained for boxing at Wild Card gym in Hollywood. He was popular for his grappling power. He has won 12 matches via submission. On 4th August 2006, Mac Danzig defeated Buddy Clinton who was a black belt. After that victory, Danzig won 12 fights one after another but on January 19, 2007 Mac Danzig lost his KOTC title to Clay French on. On 24th February, he lost his first major fight in which he fought against Hayato Sakurai at PRIDE 33. After that while fighting for “The Ultimate Fighter” Mac Danzig crushed Joe Scarola in the first round. Later he trounced John Kolosci and was qualified for the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, initially Mac had to face Matt Arroyo but Arroyo got injured at that time. Kolosci replaced him and Mac Danzig defeated him in the semi-finals once again. Finally, Danzig won The Ultimate Fighter 6 after defeating Tommy Speer in the finals on 8th December 2007. Till now, he has won 18 matches in total out of which 4 has been won by knockout, 12 by submissions and rest of the 2 by decision.
Plesently, Mac Danzig lives at Las Vegas, Nevada. He has been living as a Vegan since 2004 and cares for animals very much. At home, he has a cat whose name is Madeline. Angeline Grace, a well-known massage and physical therapist is his girlfriend. Mac also loves photography. He captures excellent pictures in his camera and sells them online.
