I think he will fail miserably. None of those guys showing up are showing up for just a payday.

I wonder what Dana will do to keep Kimbo on the show. The guy is a ratings draw, and if Kimbo is beaten in the first couple of shows TUF loses viewers.
Look at what’s already happened – they didn’t risk Kimbo having to fight his way ON to the show, which has been the format for the last 7 seasons. That’s just for Kimbo Slice, to insure that he gets air time.
As far as fighting, will they put him up against another banger? He’ll get tapped if there’s a HW with any kind of ground skills. I’m becoming more and more skeptical about this thing.
On the flip side, I’ve seen interviews with Kimbo – I really think he is a victim of his own fame. He was never a great fighter, just a youtube brawler who got famous. He’s seen reasonably humble given all the hype, and I’ve actually heard him say that he has “a lot of learning and growing to do”.
I’ll be interested to see how it all shakes out, but I’m betting on him getting put to sleep fast, given his notorious weak ground skills and lack of cardio.

he;s like 35..by the time he wins and everything and gets his first fight he be like 36, getting to old and will not ever have a prime..he will not win, and he never played with the dolphins he tried out..also in all of his street fights, he fought out of shape fat guys, and they only used firsts, no kicks, no knees, no elbows, no ground game, or tackles, or takedowns, none of that..in all of kimbo’s 3 wins in MMA world, they have been against no great fighters, tank abbot sucks, and the other 2 wins were to nobodys, with little ground game, no stand up, and a glass jaw..Kimbo however did empress me when he fought ray mercer, cause he did show alright skill..however roy is only a boxer, and would lose against a more well rounded guy, which was kimbo, as bad as kimbos skills are excluding his fists..he did a crappy Guiltone choke, that worked on a guy with no ground game..
none the less his cardio is terriable,
but he will fail
i agree with you

Kevin will win, they will put him with Rashad and he will make him become a wrestling badass. He is a natural athlete and has lost 50 pounds since started MMA. He isn’t joking around with Dana White anymore, he wants to prove all of you and Dana wrong, and he will. He has the complete intimidation factor over the other fighters. Everyone is scared of him. Petruzelli even said he will not fight him again. Will not fight him again.

ill start by saying this im not the biggest kimbo fan in the world but we still need to look at the facts kimbo is an ex nfl player with the miami dolphins so he does have an athletic background and he also is training mma with the former ufc heavyweight champion and mma legend bas rutten so why i do not think kimbo will win he will perform and possibly win a match or two

First to the poster above…having a tryout with the Dolphins does not make him an ex-NFL player. And he doesn’t train with Bas anymore.
Now for you question, he won’t win the show. As someone else said, Roy Nelson is on the show and is the former IFL champ. He had Arlovski in trouble when the ref made them stand otherwise he may have won that fight. Also, an arguement could be made that he beat Jeff Monson.
Other than Nelson, a lot of people think Darrill Schoonover is a star in the making. He is 10-0 and beat the highly touted Rex Richards in May. He has all the tools but may be a little small for this group.
I think Brendan Schaub and Marcus Jones are the most likely to end up opposite Nelso in the finals. But Kimbo won’t. There is absolutely no chance. He is only there for ratings. And Wes Sims was added not because he is great but because he will stir the pot to ensure we get drama out of Kimbo.

Its been a while since we have seen him fight. He could have gotten better but who knows. However, he is not an ex NFL player. Only a practice squad member. Never did he ever play in a real NFL game. He could have gotten better on his ground game where I think is his most obviously weakest point. He does show he has power in his hands. However, his own chin seems to be a question…

He’s NOT training with Bas, he USED TO! Bas canned him because he refused to listen and that’s why he wont improve as a fighter. He has zero ground skills and will lose as soon as he faces a wrestler with a chin. If he draws Roy “Big Country” Nelson, who is also in the next TUF he will be in BIG trouble!

I agree. I’ll poo my pants if he even wins the first prelim fight. Only way he does that is if whoever he fights doesn’t know how to box, and chooses to stand and trade with him. So I guess that’s possible (but not probable).
He’s 34 years old, smokes blunts and refused to train any ground techniques with Bas Rutten. Kimbo is an idiot.

He may surprise you. I’m not a Bimbo fan but he’s had some time under the lights and may be able to handle to pressure of these fights better than some of the other guys. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes it pretty far.
I hope he loses though.
